The Velocity Drop-away Technology (VDT) and Arrow Containment system ensures a lightning-fast drop, and you can fine-tune the timing chords on the HDX with ease thanks to its Chord Lock and Clamp features. Even compared to the range of excellent rests that QAD produces, the HDX is the company’s most elite and sought-after rest, and it’s not hard to see why.Ĭombining quality materials with a clever design, the HDX is a versatile, high-performance rest that you really can’t go wrong with. The Ultra-Rest HDX is a cable-driven rest made by QAD, a leading manufacturer of archery products. ![]() We’d argue that it’s hard to top the QAD Ultra-Rest Pro HDX in terms of build quality, versatility, and overall performance, which is why it’s our favorite drop away arrow rest on the market currently. ![]() Drop Away Arrow Rest Reviews QAD Ultra-Rest Pro HDX Drop Away Rest We hope that this guide has helped to somewhat demystify drop-away rests, as well as potentially help you to find the best rest for your needs. Limb-driven rests also drop away towards the end of the shot, meaning that they guide the arrow to an extent, and some archers feel this helps with the overall accuracy of their shooting.įor many archers, finding the right arrow rest is a crucial part of perfecting one’s shot and truly getting the most out of a compound bow. This makes them far easier to repair in the field, which is especially helpful during hunting expeditions. On the other hand, some archers find limb-driven rests to be a more practical option because they are much simpler in terms of their design and construction. Also, cable-driven rests tend to bounce less and be stabler than limb-driven ones, which leads some archers to argue that they are the better option for a more precise shot overall. Having said that, there are some technical differences between the two types of rests, which will likely have some impact on which kind of rest would make for a more practical investment for you.įor example, proponents of cable-driven rests tend to prefer them due to the fact that they drop out of the way of the arrow more quickly, having less of an overall impact on your shot. Ultimately, we think the average archer is unlikely to find that the type of rest they use makes a significant difference to their overall shot. ![]() There is some fairly heated debate surrounding drop-away rests, and whether cable or limb-driven rests are superior. When shopping around for arrow rests, it’s helpful to understand that there are essentially two types of drop away rest cable and limb-driven.

Technique is the basis of all fundamentals of dance, from holding your body correctly while performing, to executing skills properly in a routine. But his high career mileage dating back to Boston College paired with his plodding, perhaps laborious play style tends to lose its appeal with age. The odds of earning a big second contract have never been in Dillon’s favor. I’m simply stating that with Dean Lowry and Jarran Reed now out of the equation, this is Wyatt’s opportunity to prove he can be the next Kenny Clark in Green Bay’s trenches.Ģ023 will be an enormous season for the equally enormous running back as he is set to hit free agency in the offseason. I am in no way suggesting that a poor sophomore season from Wyatt means all hope is lost. It’s harsh but not untruthful to suggest that Wyatt may already be in his final form as an NFL player with a year of experience under his belt. Yes I know this sounds premature as it’s only year two for Wyatt who barely saw the field last season, but already 25 years old after showing promising glimpses in limited action, we will soon find out whether or not the Packers have a star on their hands. Run blocking is a difficult area of the game to quantify, but for an objective opinion Myers was PFF’s 4th lowest graded starting center in the run game last season. However, the run game is where Myers is yet to live up to his pre-draft billing. He has already proven to be a capable pass protector, allowing a respectable 13 pressures last season - 7th best among starting centers. Given Green Bay’s track record when drafting offensive linemen, the former second round pick felt like a ‘set it and forget it’ type player who could replace All-Pro center Corey Linsley without much controversy.Īfter struggling to see the field due to injuries in year one, Myers was the only Packer to play every snap in 2022. Hopefully he manages to stay as far away from the early-career Falcons version of himself, otherwise he may be unable to finish out the remainder of the 5-year, $50 million deal he signed last year. His pass coverage was just as good this past season as it was in 2021, however a notable dip in tackling was visible with 11 missed tackles - the most of his career.Įntering the 2023 season, 30-year-old De’Vondre Campbell’s arrow could really be pointed in any direction. That being said, 2022 was still the second best season Campbell has put together in his seven-year career. Moving on.Īfter his stunning All-Pro season two years ago, De’Vondre Campbell got paid handsomely in the offseason and predictably took a moderate step back, closer to the player he was before arriving in Green Bay. ![]() Note: I’m not including Jordan Love in this video because I am quite frankly tired of discussing Jordan Love. Here are the 5 Packers with the most on the line this season. ![]() ![]() ![]() ‘Prove it’ seasons and contract seasons definitely enjoy some crossover, but they aren’t necessarily the same thing. He just doesn’t have much left to show us. We already know who Deguara is and what he brings to the table. Josiah Deguara may be entering a contract year, but I wouldn’t necessarily call this a ‘prove it’ season for the 26-year-old tight end. Unlike the expression coined by Forrest Gump, the majority of players in the NFL aren’t exactly like a box of chocolates - you know what you’re gonna get. ![]() ![]() Step 3: To minus 26 from 82, separate 2 rods and 6 cubes away from the original group and explain to the child that minus means take away.Ĭount the remaining number of rods and cubes left in the group and explain to the child that 5 five rods have the value of 50, and six cubes are 6. Explain to the child the 80 + 2 is the same as 70 + 12. Now we have 12 cubes on the ‘Ones’ side and 7 rods on the ‘Ten’ place. Since we cannot subtract 6 from 2, we need to borrow a rod of 10 cubes from the ‘Tens’ place and place it in the Ones place. Step 2: Let’s subtract the Ones place first. Step 1: Pair up the problem on the place value mat and write the question vertically on the placemat. Every child is different and may need help at a different stage. We started using Base Ten blocks when my child took a longer time to conquer his subtraction with regrouping involved. ![]() Step 4: Work out the vertical equation on the mat immediate and explain to the child how both methods correspond to each other. Explain to the child that 9 tens are the same as 90. I like to replace the ten cubes with 1 rod subsequently.įrom here, the child can see that there are nine rods which mean 9 tens. Now that the value is more than 10, we move ten cubes into the Ten column. Step 2 – Write the number vertically on the placemat to enhance clarity. Please set orientation as Landscape at A3 size. You can also print out a place value mat from here. You can create a place value table at home. Step 1: Pair up the problem on a place value table. Their school uses Base Ten blocks to aid learning too.Īlso, read my post on Koobits and why it is also our important tool for mastering mathematics. In fact, I checked with them before I bought it. We use it every day for their schoolwork and Koobits practices. Guiding the children in the Mathematics homework became easier. One flat has 100 cubes, representing a value of 100. One rod has ten cubes, meaning that it has a value of 10. These sticks certainly didn’t help the children to visualise the values very well.įinally, I decided to invest in Base Ten blocks. As for the coloured sticks, they kept rolling around and were distracting. Both the parent and child get tired out drawing and redrawing. As the numbers got bigger, we had more to draw. Drawing the stories was the cheapest way. I previously tried drawing out the sum stories before, as well as using a set of colourful sticks where each colour represents a place value. In this post, I will cover from addition to division and will follow up with other topics after we encounter and work out how Base Ten blocks will help my children. ![]() Base Ten blocks can even be used for learning fractions and decimals. Introducing Base Tenīase Ten blocks are a set of four different types of blocks that, when used together, have helped us see what a number looks like and understand its value.īy manipulating the blocks, my children have better visually understood how numbers add up together, subtracts, multiply and divide. This is especially so for my son who is currently in Primary 2 and is learning more complex calculations such as addition and subtraction in hundreds (with regrouping involved), as well as problem sums that involve multiplication and division. It took me a while to realise that my children understand better by visually than listening. Just like any other adults who may learn better using mind maps, graphs, or merely reading texts, everyone has their way of learning better. This is a critical set of manipulatives which we use daily to aid better understanding of mathematics concepts.Įvery child has different learning needs. Now there are 20 locations that the Oracle can give as to where the primordial weapon can spawn. Once at the Oracle she will say “Seek the Primordial weapon…” If any of my steps were confusing to you, or if you just want a visual aid, be sure to check out this super quick (less than 2:00) video of a YouTuber named Glitch on how to build and upgrade the Hand of Gaia.įirst thing you need to do is activate the artefact, then head back to the spawn area to receive the primordial weapon location from the oracle. Simply horde up 15-20 zombies, hold down, and when you kill 8 in one go, the achievement will pop! This achievement was a little trickier than the other gauntlets, but I found it easiest to try and line the zombies up (as best you can) and try launching the charged shot at them that way, instead of shooting the while their in a circle. This can easily be obtained anywhere you desire, but I find the easiest place to horde Zombies is in the Amphitheater. With the hard part out of the way, you now need to kill 8 zombies with one charged shot. After killing the 30ish Zombies that spawn in, another portal will appear allowing you to exit with your newly upgraded Hand. This part is pretty straight forward, and is more or less a tutorial teaching you how to use the charged ability of the Redeemed version of the gauntlet. When you've successfully carried all three of them back to the statue, a portal will spawn that you need to enter. Hold on these seedlings and carry them back to the ritual statue we deposited the Dormant Hand at initially. When you find these three tress, shoot each of the crystals using the Hand of Gaia and a seedling will spawn on the ground in front of the tree. Their locations are in the Temple Terrace, the Stoa of the Athenians, and the Intersection of Treasuries. In order to upgrade to the Redeemed Hand of Gaia, you'll need to locate three plants with Red Crystals on them. This weapon will need to be upgraded in order to use the charged ability required to unlock this achievement. After all 10 have been killed, you will be able to pick up the Hand of Gaia. It will require you to kill roughly 10 zombies that are glowing green in the chest, all the while you are required to stay within the glowing circle. Deposit your Dormant Hand into the statue and you'll begin a little ritual. Alternatively, if you would like pictures of their locations, this Reddit link will also show all 20.Īfter you've found your first Dormant Hand, head to the Spartan Monument location of the map and look for the glowing green circle on the ground. |
